Frequently asked questions
How much does the course cost?
We are offering a special ‘better than half price’ introductory offer of £197. The course has already been tested by a small group of people (and we’ve used their feedback to help refine it) but this is the first time we are running it as a live group. If you join us, we’ll ask for your feedback too. Subsequent intakes to the course will be priced higher.
When does the course start?
We start on Monday the 1st of November 2021. The course runs for 6 weeks so we’ll finish on Sunday the 12th of December 2021.
If I can’t make this one, will the course be running again?
We hope so! But we don’t have any dates set for 2022 yet. We understand that there’s rarely a ‘perfect time’ to join a course, however, if you’re feeling the pull to do the course, tune in and ask your inner self if now is ‘your time’.
What do I get?
You’ll receive a weekly email with a selection of pleasure practices that you can do in your own time and space, and that take from 2 minutes to 30 minutes to do (or longer if you wish). You’ll also be invited to a weekly group Zoom call where you can ask questions, share experiences if you wish, and join in some of the live practices we’ll do together. The calls will be recorded so you can always watch the replay if you can’t make it live. And you can submit questions by email in advance too.
Is there any nudity/genitals/actual sex involved?
We will invite you to explore your own body, in your own private space, if you wish. We will talk about genitals and sex (including masturbation), but we won’t be sharing any nudity, genitals, or sexual acts as part of this course.
Am I too old/young to take part?
We encourage you to explore your sexual self at whatever life stage you are at now. The course is open for all adult (age 18+) women. We are both in our 40s so are able to share our experiences of being at this age and stage.
Is this just for women in relationships?
All of the pleasure practices can be done on your own, regardless of whether you are in a relationship or not. If you are in a relationship, you can choose whether or not you want to share any of your experiences with your partner. We also welcome women regardless of their relationship preference and style: single/solo, monogamous, polyamorous… you are welcome.
I’m a transwoman / non-binary – can I join the course?
We are both cisgender women and the course content centres on women’s experiences. If you are comfortable in a space that centres on women’s experiences, you are welcome to join us. Inclusivity matters to us; however, this is not a space for cisgender men or transmen at this time.
I’ve a history of sexual trauma – is this safe for me?
You always be in a position of choice about what you do and what you do not want to do, and we’ve designed the course to be gentle and self-paced. However, we know that it’s not always possible for you (or us) to know in advance what might be triggering for you. You are welcome to talk to us before deciding whether or not to join the course, and we’ll be contactable by email if anything comes up during the course. It’s important to note that we are not therapists and this is not therapy so ultimately it must be your decision as to what is best for you.
How much time will it take?
We never want pleasure to be one more thing to add to your to-do list so we’ve designed this course so you can do short practices throughout the week that fit into your life. Some of the practices take only 2 minutes, others can take up to 30 minutes (or longer if you wish). If you can set aside an hour a week that would be great. If you want to spend longer, you can. The live calls will last around 45 minutes.
When do I get the emails?
You’ll get a new email each Monday morning with the practices for that week and details of the Zoom call. You can dive straight in, save it for the weekend, or whatever works best for you.
When are the live calls?
The calls are scheduled for Friday lunchtimes (UK time). (Depending on the size of the group, and what time zone everyone is in, there might be some flexibility with the timing.)
What do I do if I can’t keep up?
We know that ‘life happens’ and there may be weeks when you don’t get around to doing all the practices. That’s okay. You’ll be able to download everything so you can pick it up at a time that works for you. Also, we’re going for quality over quantity with this course. We won’t overload you with materials – but you will get your money’s worth! Some of the biggest shifts for people happen from giving their full attention and commitment to just one or two practices. Others love to do everything and enjoy giving it all a go.
What happens if I dont understand and need to talk to someone?
You can always contact us by email and one of us will get back to you when we can within that week.
What happens at the end of the course?
We’ll celebrate with you, help you figure out your next steps, and invite you to stay in touch! You’ll be able to download and keep all the materials so you can go back to them again whenever you want. We’ll also ask you to share a few words about your experience of the course (a testimonial) so we can learn what worked for you and what could have been different, and also so other people can hear about what it’s like to take part.
